DANSTOPIC
Danstopic aims to increase the visibility of dance in the digital environment and create an overview of dance as a place of transformation and experimentation.
DANSTOPIC VLOG
A material created by Mircea Topoleanu, on the border between interview and video-dance creation, proposes an innovative hybrid content, combining fragments of the discussions held by Alexandra Bălășoiu and Loredana Larionescu, with fragments of dance captured in the AREAL studio – Space for Choreographic Development . Various professionals from the world of dance were invited, and the production of each episode of the vlog was followed by an applied work meeting with the performer from the project, Simona Dabija.
DANSTOPIC LETTERS
In 2020, within the project 4 bodies / collective for dance, Alexandra Bălășoiu initiated an anonymous and random dialogue, between 10 choreographers involved in the project.
In 2021, the DANSTOPIC project took over these contents, proposing an innovative way of publication, initiated and coordinated by Konrad Mihat. During workshops supported by Skeptic Dog Animation and Human Interface, 8 talented illustrators created illustrated postcards, inspired by the thoughts in the letters. Cărțile poștale conțin, în varianta augmentată, o animație și scrisoarea pereche.
You can discover their animations by scanning the image of each letter, through the Artivive app.

As a result of all these exchanges and meetings, a dance film will be born in 360 format. DANSTOPIC BRUNCH is the event that will mark the end of the project.
DANSTOPIC360
Danstopic360 exposes the experience of an interrogation brought to dance and suggests for the public a way of access to their own body. The work process guided by Alexandra Balasoiu and Loredana Larionescu started with the Danstopic Vlog interview series, the individual training sessions with guests and the visually augmented letter series, Danstopic Letters. In this approach, Simona Dabija accumulated fragments of intentions, perceptions and desires, which she filtered through her own experience, observing their resonance in her own body. Thus was born a dance of all bodies, a protest of the living body, both restrained and expressive.
“If you feel an excess of information and thoughts, shake them off. Let them explode through your bones. Through the muscles. Through the skin. Let them protest among themselves. To manifest. Like a morse code of dance. Points. Lines. Short. Long. Breaks. At first it may seem illogical. Separately they don’t make sense. Put together they are coherent. They become words-sentences-phrases. It’s a story. The story of the dance in your body.”
